Do animals have souls too? They are living creatures too. And since you mention them ... so are bacteria.

Bacteria are not the animal, and yes I think animals have sould too. Animals could be aware of danger, of empathy, simpathy, anger, they communicated between each other, so, is it so hard to accept them with the soul?

Every animal or living thing has a spirit, some of those may linger on after death, or in some cases before life. I think that we just assume that they are human, if you believe you have a poltergeist why should it have to be human, it could be the family dog or some such.

The next door neighbour told us these houses were haunted. We had already noticed, things turn themselves on at night and I heard footsteps in the attic yesterday, I even went up to check if there was a way through from next door, and it had been the neighbour, there isn't any other way in, although there are bats up there

Well, I've had several encounters with something before--so I would have to say yes.

When I was in college, I lived in an apartment with a couple other fellows and regularly, our loaf of bread, which we always kept on the top of the refrigerator, would spontaneously fly off and land in the middle of the kitchen floor. In fact, one time we had a guest over and we told her this story. Of course she was skeptical until about five minutes after the converstation shifted, off came the loaf or bread.

Also, for many summers (six) I worked on an old schooner/tall-ship. She was built on the Chesapeake in 1900 and over the years, several people had died onboard. Twice, while standing watch in the wee, dark hours of the night, I was visited by some kind of otherworldy presence--a feeling/sense that is very difficult to describe. The best way that I've been able to describe it is as a weight upon my mortal self. A very odd feeling, indeed. Also, other crew members and passengers alike recalled timed very similar to those that I experienced.

I don't know if ghosts are hollograms, or if they are just figments produced in our subconscious that manifest itself through dreams. Or even after seeing a scarey movie involving ghosts that you think are just so real. Either way, if they exist or not, we'll have to get along nicely so just learn to live with whatever is with you or whatever is in your head.. And if it's that bad, maybe some help from a doctor if you are really tormented with fear from what is probably nothing more than fear of the unknown.

I believe, but not in the movie created hologram image of a ghost, nor in the idea that they are lost souls.

I have had too many experiences not to believe.

And no, I was not having psychotic hallucinations. If I were, others would not have been able to witness the same event.

The only alternate explanation that I can think of is that if these are not entities, then perhaps it is an unconscious projection emanating from my own mind..... afterall, these events seem to only occur in the presence of me. HOnestly, it is easier for me to believe that there are seperate entities out there (apart from me) rather than that I am somehow unconsciously creating these events with my mind.
