Favorite/Least Favorite American accent

So what is your favorite and least favorite American accent?

The New Orleans accent is my favorite.

A classic southern accent can sound nice and of course I'm partial to some of our New England ones too--not the annoying, stereotypical Boston accent but the old coastal Maine drawl can be pleasing.

I loathe the hard 'a' sound from Chicagoland and Michigan where the name John sounds like Jaaahn and I can't forget the nasty nasaly whine of Long Island fame.

And yeah, the valley girl manner of speaking is quite harsh on my ears too...

Well I can say the Newyorkese accent is my least favuorite, but tbh I haven't heard any other.

Generally I like the so-called "Southern" accents.

- Most favorite: South Midland and Southern Appalachian

- Least favorite: Anything from a city, particularly the Northeastern ones.

- Plain: North-Midland
