I answered this at length a few hours ago before the forum went down and don't feel like rewriting it, but the answer is Mediterranean. I feel no connection with most Northern Euros. I feel closer to Lebanese, Turks, or Libyans than Lithuanians, Finns, or Icelanders.

None of the two options or both, probably the first.

In the west almost all Spain had been subjugated, except that part which adjoins the cliffs where the Pyrenees end and is washed by the nearer waters of the ocean. Here two powerful nations, the Cantabrians and the Asturians, lived in freedom from the rule of Rome.")

Hey Sikeliot I'm Bulgarian and I feel closer to all Europeans than I do to other non European Mediterraneans. I know Bulgaria's not a Mediterranean country but we share some cultural similarities with them as well as religion (most similar to Greeks) and a similar climate in SOME areas of Bulgaria mainly the most southern parts and the regions near the Black Sea especially near the border of Turkey. The other non European Mediterraneans are foreign to me though. They speak a non Indo-European language as well being majority Islamic. I wouldn't think I'm as much genetically similar to them than North Europeans for example. I could easily distinguish them from my own kin.
