Ethnic groups are not defined by genetics alone. Ethnic groups are defined by relatively common origins, common history, culture,tradition,religion and self perception. But don't fall for politically correct propaganda in the media. Even if there was some hint of truth to it, this is still agenda driven garbage.

You can provide average genetics for each country and say this is German, this French as a whole, but the truth is that there are genetically very different Germans from South to North and East to West. For example NW Germans are mainly closer to neighbouring countries than to a big number of East Germans.
