Yeah, a lot of Sicilian musicians (including Sicilian-Americans like Sinatra) have done songs in Neapolitan more than in Sicilian. It's a shame.

I completely agree! Even now there are Sicilian singers who have become part of the Neomelodica genre of modern Neapolitan music. At the same time I have to say that I love Neapolitan music. It's one of my favorite types of Italian music and there are a lot of great new music coming out of Naples.

Nuovi Briganti (New Robbers), they've been compared to Public Enemy. I don't know how fair that is, but like PE, their popularity waned after the mid 1990s.

To be fair, it's six months old, so it's not that Sicilians are that behind in the times. I'm just posting it now.

It's very vulgar, from the point of view of a fictional Sicilian peasant.
