All I know is that my 4 grand-parents are jewish. I don't know anything beyond that(I mean I know ehre they're from and when some of them came to Israel but I am not into the reliogous stuff and all that).

How racist, sexist, and sickening. Imagine if this was part of Sharia, how much negative press it would get. But since its Judaic, I've only stumbled on this racist law quite recently.

1. The fact is that when u come tyo israel you see many Cohen man with non-cohen women.
2. Sharia wants to impose itself on all the countries in the world. You admitted it yourself. Judaism - not so. That is why sharia gets so much more press exposure t han judaism.

I have seen Old Testament biblical scripture quoted, where it was discussing the conversion of various other ethnic groups to Judaism. Also various Jews from places like India and Uzbekistan plot all over the map, somewhat closer to their local groups, so clearly these groups are mixed. I have also heard tale of a group of Jewish men moving to an area, taking local wives, but then marrying within each other for subsequent generations. This would explain their mtDNA diversity, and how they cluster autosomally nearer to local groups, but as a separate cluster. Anyway I was hoping someone could just spell out what the traditional, official rules are, so I could reconcile it with the various things I have seen and heard in the past.
