Default Irish/Italian mixes: Do they generally look more Irish or Italian?

In my experience, Italian/Irish mixes in the US tend to look more Irish than southern Italian. the Italian part is of course usually Calabrese, Campanian, or Sicilian.

Examples of people of this mixture:

Lindsay Lohan (both parents are all half Irish, half Italian):

    And some others:

I think it could turn out either way. Italians will notice some familiar things and Irish will notice familiar things.

Robert Deniro is more Irish than Italian but looks Italian to most.

Jay Leno is half Italian half Scottish but looks more Italian.

Not to me. He is dark pigmented but facially doesn't look Italian. Or Irish really either. He's an odd one.

Jay Leno is half Italian half Scottish but looks more Italian.
    Agree.

Would you say most of the ones I posted above look more Irish? Except Steve Buscemi (the last one in my first post).. he has the droopy Southern eyes.

They look more Irish on average in my humble opinion, although they can look Northern Italian as well. But definitely not Southern Italian (Sicilians, Calabrians, Apulians, Campanians, Sardinians, etc) They're too light pigmented for that I'd say.

    It's not pigmentation but features.

Like look at Lindsay Lohan's mom. She has darker eyes, but facially she looks more Irish. Her nose for instance and facial structure is very Atlantid.

But then sometimes you have light pigmentation but looking more Italian like Jay Leno.

I don't think the heavy set guy, Travolta or Buschemi look very Irish.

    They look intermediate, I'd say.

It depends what part of Italy there parent is from. If they are from South Italy then they will look like some kind of North European/South European or Mediterranean mix. If they are from Northern Italy and mixed with Irish then they can look fully North European.

I'm not sure. When Travolta was younger he is a bit similar to Franco Nero who was 100% Italian but might pass as pan Euro. I think there might be a lot of 100% Italians who are a bit similar and look like intermediate euro mixes instead of fully Italian but I'm no expert on it.
