I consider Greece Western.
No idea about Finland.

Not by your strict moralist idea of Western.

Greek philosophers did not describe ancient Greek society.... they criticized it.

Although Greece is said to be the birthplace of Western civilization, today's Greece has more in common culturally and religiously with Russia, Serbia, Bulgaria, etc. than anywhere else.

Eastern Europe is also a part of Western Civilization. There may be some inner-cultural & political division between eastern and western Europe, but eastern Europe is still Western or ‘Occidental’. The same way there are inner-cultural & political differences between Japan and China, they are still both safely categorized as Eastern or ‘Oriental’ cultures.
