    Yes, I do think it's accurate and CERTAINLY more accurate than any religious description of how old things are.

    I think it is accurate to a certain point, anything past 5,000 years is cutting it close to me.

    It's only good for biological samples containing carbon, so it's limited. But within it's limits it's very accurate I would say.

    It only goes back to 50k years max.

    The main problem with it is that if you don't do it right after something comes out of the ground the accuracy is in question. Same if it was not fully buried and sealed off before it was dated. So for many of the things we really want to date it is not too accurate.
