Why costs an electric toothbrush made in Switzerland 10 €? And an Iphone needs to be made in China?

Many months ago my mum looked for a toothbrush and went to dm which the typical drugstore here in germany operating whole chains of them. I cant remember the price but must be something like 10€ and its made in switzerland, it stay at the bottom of the device and on the packaging.

As you can see in the picture this is the model, now my question why?

iphone needs to be made in China because the electronics and software engineers gets 300$ salary in there and the regular factory workers only gets a handful of rice. About 10-15 of them commits suicide per 1-2 months but no one cares about that in China and they continue to produce iphones.

You cannot do any of these in Switzerland and you cannot force Swiss people to work in same conditions as Chinese people.

The goal is to produce the products as cheap as possible and sell it as high as possible for maximum profit. They do whatever necessary to achieve that goal and this is only doable in China.

Because toothbrush is cheap and easy, requires no high-tech facilities nor any material or human investments. You can even do it yourself from DIY web sites. It`s just a 10 cent motor, 50 cent battery and plastic cover. I am quite suspicious about that anyway. Are you sure Swiss company really produce it instead of buying it from China? Maybe they are only packaging it in Swiss after buying the complete goods from China as bulk?

If they are really producing it, then robably Swiss manufacturers hires some Romanian or Bulgarian immigrants, gives them minimum salary and let them produce it in a small factory.

Tough, you cannot produce iphone with Romanian immigrants, thats the problem. A regular Bulgarian or Romanian immigrant cannot even figure out how to use the elevator system in the Foxconn building but Chinese people does because they get raised in communist system and they are required to learn skills to work in a factory since age of five and gets satisfied with a handful of rice in the launch break.

Iphone is a product intended to be used by hundreds of millions people. I am sure that when it comes for toothbrushes people do not care who is a manufacturer since there is probably a lot of them. I am guessing that Swiss are producing that toothbrush for a more local scale compared to the world scale.

or its maybe because they are using robots? Its pretty simple device in comparison to an iphone. Maybe they dont need any workers at all to produce it.

I have also noticed that dm has many cheap swiss products especially for tooth care. Well anyways trust me it would be possible to make cheap Swiss made iPhones too. The producer would have bigger costs ofc. My tought is however that the Swiss toothbrush producer is assembling toothbrushes but parts are mainly from china.
