A set of stunning photographs have emerged from the luxury flights of years gone past when passengers flew in comfort, ate from china and usually gathered at the bar.

It was probably as much the preserve of the rich as such splendor is now but before the era of mass flying and budget airlines, all aspects of air travel were delivered with a style alien to the struggles of modern standard class.
