No. You are false. Russia was never part of the West and it will never be a part of the West. Don't know about the Far East but Orthodox Slavs will NEVER be Westerners.

That's not exclusive to European nations though. Religions like Islam are just as far from Buddhism and Hinduism and Taosim as Christianity is. So when you look at it Islam is also a western religion compared to Far Eastern ones. Monotheism especially is a western religious aspect.
