turks in bulgaria are a mix of anatolian turks invaders , islamicized bulgarians and maybe other islamicized balkanites , tatars (especially turks in deliorman and dobrudja) , and maybe plus some other islamicized/ottomanicized ethnies like gipsy

they were only the rulling class (like fe Avars ii other places), majority of population were Thracian Vlachs, Slavs and Alans/Sarmatians. You speak Slavic mostly due to Greek missionaries Cyril and Methodius. I honestly still don't get it why didn't the Byzantines try to assimilate you and other Slavs in Balkans to become and speak Vlach Romanian language. Maybe due to the Romanian/Greek prestigious feuds. Greeks shooting themselves in the foot once again.

proto-bulgarians were absorbed from the local thraco-slavic people

as for the proto-bulgarian they were mixed since the time they lived still in central asia where they were a mix of turkic and iranic people , when they moved to russia and crimea they absorbed a lot of east slavic people , in fact surprise of the surpirse bulgarians today tend to overlap a bit more with east slavic people while serbo-croatian tend to overlap more with west slavic people

is not that when proto-bulgarian arrived in the balkan they were 100% turanids

I agree with you(same situation with the Magyars, being Turko-Iranian). So, how do you comment my bit about the Slavic language?

I think Proto-Bulgarians weren't much different from Thracians and even South Slavs in appearance. Turanid in them was present but rare, as it was found. Turanid was more present in Pechenegs and to lesser extent Kumans.

As for Slavic language, it was the only language spoken by the natives at that time. Thracian and Bulgar were almost extinct, the official language was Greek, but Bulgarian rulers wanted to be more independant from the Byzantine Empire and form unions in Europe (where many Slavs lived). So a Slavic language was the most logically choice.

the local thraco-slavic population was probably totally slavicized and in bigger number compared to the proto-bulgarians , so the slavic language has dominated

Why Sakha Turks have ~88% Y-dna haplogroup N, and hence completely differing from the rest of the common Turkic peoples who have mostly haplogroup R1a and R1b? So what is really Turkic here? Neither of these! "Turk" is just a philosophical/cultural/political term.

Actually their motherland is unknown. What is found about them was that they were long-faced Mediterraneans (Pontids) with some northern and Central Asian influence. Thus, relatively similar to Pontid, Dinarid and Alpinid Thracians (who also had northern looking people). The only difference was the small Turanid component in Bulgars.
