I am of European descent (99.9% according to 23andMe) and mine is 3.05%, but I have no Ashkenazi or Jewish ancestry.

Of course, these genes are probably old from admixture in Europe.

I show 0.2% Ashkenazi on 23andme on the jtest I'm showing 2.73%

Actually in 23andme I did not get an Ashkenazim cousin so far but I am 5.37% Ashkenazim in JTest.

It seems inflated. I get no Ashkenazi on other tests (e.g. 23andme).

I have a fair amount of German ancestry. But I would think this would work the other way, i.e., Ashkenazis having North Central. I also have about 20-25% Italian and Armenian descent, but I would think that would be Sephardic.

I think for the Jtest, you must compare your percentages to the averaged Ashkenazi percentages of the ethnicity you fall into per Eurogenes Jtest population source results. If you have an above average percentage in the Ashkenazi category per your ethnicity/source population, then it means you actually inherited some Jewish genes from an actual Jewish ancestor. Well. Not only above average ones, they just have more input. The ones with lower Askhenazi percentages also inherited actual genes from them.

Wow! I see many European countries average over 10% of that component. Anyone here scoring a lower Ashkenazi than me?

Oh, really? If I understand you correctly then theoretically, just about every population in Europe has some Jewish input though at varying degrees.
