I don't trust the results for reasons i already stated.

To me you can't draw any conclusion at all with 23andme. Just observe where some group of people plot and what may have caused the shifting towards this direction.


Btw , its obvious anthropologically wise that Pontians have received influences from the east (Asia and even East Europe)

For Aegean islanders, what is the lowest and highest MENA you saw other than this one? Lowest I've seen was 2%, highest was like 22% other than this one. Most are like 10-15%.

How many? And which islands? Also what are the low scores?

I have been reading that some islands experienced some repopulation of Anatolian and Pontic Greeks and I suspect that may be why But as I mentioned, I share with some Sicilians and Calabrese (and even a few Campanians I have seen) with 20%+ MENA so it might not be that.

Some Campanians clearly are in the Calabrese/Sicilian range and quite on the outlying end also.
