Its ten years of neoliberal government annihilated much of it with demagoguery and lies. Ever wonder how and why Helle "Botox" Thorning-Schmidt won it easy (the elections) in 2011 with no relevant proposal other than her fake smile? Anyways I cheers for her, I hope she save the Danish welfare state or what's left of it. I love Danes with all my heart.

Also, at least she has more balls to deal with the issue of 'Greenlandic (Oil)' than had the Pro-NATO clowns of last 'conservative', last pseudo 'anti-immigrant' government of whom were literally 'pussifing' Denmark in relation to Canada and US. A shame.

National spirit gives us the desire to contribute to the community with tax money, work and services. It is that which binds us together as a people.

Denmark is also very 'old-fashioned' in cultural sense.

In Sweden, food and a lot of other stuffs are 'cheap' due - the state subsidizes it more than in Denmark given the total industrialization and 'superiority' of the Swedish exporting economy in relation to them - mentioning that Sweden is 'more' generous when it comes to tax on small farmers and also generous, when it comes to hand out industrial subsidies, especially in an industrial and agricultural region like Skåne. Keep dreaming, it's not going to happen!

I agree with this, it's something I've noticed. The Danish are more rational than their northern neighbours. Perhaps it's due to their geographic position at the centre of the Baltic rather than being isolated from Europe? I also think it's from being more realistic about individuals and societies in general and more mature politically. The Danish aren't as arrogant or naive as Norwegians for instance.

I think Denmark is the Czech of the Baltic; an amazing country punching way above it's weight in international affairs but not corrupted by political correctness or cultural relativism. Denmark is a confident clever society.

I wrote a super-long post to this thread a few weeks ago, but something got messed up. Either way, two things which are better in Sweden: 1) We have never had a female PM, and won't have one for at least 10 years. Female leaders symbolizes weakness to me. 2) Our parliament anti-immigration party actually has nationalist background, unlike Dansk Folkeparti which has some sort of libertarian background. I remember reading that one female representative of DF had acted in interracial pornos.
