True. Gotze had some serious health problems/metabolism issues that were making him fat or something like that. Still as you say he was wonderful no. 10.
He was amazing in his first BVB stint, later not so much. Returns rarely work.

Januzaj - wonderful player. I had really high hopes for him when he came to Dortmund, but it didn't work. He plays fine in Spain though - not a superstar we tought he will be from Man U start, but quality player. Had some nice goals for Belgium too. Pity he didn't opt for Kosovo NT.

This would be 100%, but for example Lewandowski surprisngly played very well under him. You see with those tall players they in many times lack world class technique. Player like Aguero or Messi are just like cherry on the cake for Peps style of football.

Bascially 2 CDM's tracking back to defence making it a 6 line defence, Pep to this day has big problems with highly defending teams, but his tactics agains this improved allot since then.

If he buys Halland, it will be intresting because if we talk about big centre forward then thats this guy. Those types of strikers although do the best in Italy, with smaller pressing those big guys lacking in technique don't loose the ball that often and if you give space to a big guy, you are lost. That's why all big guys always were great under Mourinho, his playstyle suits them so much, Abraham is also doing insane in Roma.

Well said! Nice observations. Tammy is killing it at Roma. I am not sure Haaland will work for Pep, since Pep loves refined/technically superb forwards.

everything looks automatically much better with new stadiums/training camps, and in terms of talent Cro League is way above Polish/Russian/Scandinavian leagues and such IMO

But even that is not enough, they probably need another billion euros to win the champions league. They might go for Haland or Mbappé in the summer for ridiculous amounts of money.

This has to be considered a failure for Guardiola considering all that money spent.

I think those petro dollar clubs have a mentality problem in the CL and lack soul on those crucial moments, fiasco after fiasco...the players melted in the last minutes, including Ederson, Ruben Dias...It was a good day for football. Two proper clubs with real supporters in the final.

Money talked in the end for Mpabbé. Salah would do well anywhere really, but Real is in a better state currently than Barcelona. Barcelona would be a career step back for Salah at this moment in time.

Mbappe is better than Haaland and I'm saying this as BVB fan. But they are different players. Salah is more talented than both of them, but with far lower upside due to age. Barca would suit him.
