When I get an earworm, it drives me crazy when I know the work but have trouble identifying it. A few months after first playing "Silent Hill 2"; I had this meditative piano piece earworm. I was thinking in terms of Debussy or Satie.

It was from the game. Far away from the clangy industrial laced music that the Silent Hill games are known for.



Up next is a disc of Ravel by Dutoir. This disc includes "Bolero" It will knock out any earworm, by replacing it.

Seriously, the experience of listening to Bolero goes beyond the notes and goes to a zone where very few pieces before Steve Riech or Phillip Glass would go.
