Aaron Stainthorpe (the tall vocalist and lyric and poetry writer of My Dying Bride) was born in England - but he moved to live in Germany when he was six months old, because his British army officer father was stationed in the country.

He speaks both English and German.

He currently lives in West Yorkshire, Northern England, as he likes living in the tranquil countryside.

Aaron Stainthorpe has a baritone vocal range.
