If you could have just *one* supernatural ability, what would it be?

Yep, this is the Apricity Superhero thread! So, assuming you could have just one supernatural ability...e.g. healing power, immortality, super-strength, time-travelling, ability to fly, invisibility, etc...

What supernatural strenght would you really like to be able to possess? And why?

I'll be posting mine soon enough, I want to keep the element of surprise.

The gift of foresight. I would always win the big lottery jackpots & naturally I would become the most successful stockbroker ever. And I would always bet on the winning team.

When I focus on my third eye and I am pure in my heart I have psychic abilities which are surprisingly practical and which bring serendipitous joy into my life. This is an innate supernatural ability that all men have.

I want the Babelfish! I.e., I would like to be able to understand & speak all languages.

That would facilitate my secret wish...to start travelling around the world and study the most interesting people and cultures

I would want the ability to neutralise all superhero powers, in that case. Much like the character from Heroes, just like 'the Haitian'.

In which case I would like to be the offspring of Slim and Red and be called Cable.


If I could have one superpower, it would most likely be the power to time travel. I could spend my lifetime witnessing everything this world has experienced.

I perhaps would change a few things within my past, also.
