...What are you talking about? Adherance to Qur'anic revelation and following the traditions/actions/behaviours of Muhammed has occured since the beginning of Islam.
This is what SUNNI islam is, from SUNNAH meaning tradition.

The shi'a sects (twelvers, ismailis, alawis, etc) were born much later. Incorporating elements of kufr, such as the worship of Ali ibn abi Talib, and especially Husayn ibn Ali and Fatima as well. Along with hatred of Abu bakr, Umar and A'isha. This is not even taking into account basic theological differences, such as shi'i importance of the coming of the Mahdi and belief in 12 imams (for twelvers).

That may be but in Saudi Arabia they follow it's most conservative and strict interpretation of it. As well as its largest numbers.

You cannot be serious... Who do you think Shi'ites blame for the brutal murder of Fatima and Husayn ibn Ali?? It's the Umayyads. Sunnis, specifically under the rulership of Yazid which represented the strongest resurgence of Sunnah, including the successful implementation of jihad (conquest of iberia), among other things.

Muharram is entirely built on the sorrow of their loss. Mourning of Muharram??? Ring any bells, toots?

Why don't we let Iran produce a atomic bomb?, then let the Shia and Sunni Muslims go to war with each other and kill each other off?

Shi'a Conspiracy theories are nothing new, Sunni's have been professing them since shi branches first appeared.. And Mahdi ideas are also found in Sunnism.

My original post was not meant to contain any tie-ins between military strategy and shi'ite theology. However, "the journey" seemed to be heading down that route so i just followed.

It was based only on observation of reality. Hezbollah's power has increased substantially in the past 7 or so years.

Yes but if they both voluntarily went to war with each other none of these countries would need to intervene. We could watch the entire middle east destroy itself using our military technology.
