Swearing Allegiance to the Southern Cross by Charles A Doudiet. The flag became known as the Eureka Flag and is still a symbol for those favouring an Australian Republic.

Maybe in the past, nowadays it is too politically incorrect for those favouring an Australian Republic, due to its association with right-wing groups and 'xenophobia', 'white supremacy' etc (The Eureka Rebels protested against Chinese labour on the goldfields).

Western Australia is home to some incredible pink lakes, and one which lost its hue. Here's how they work, and why the Shire of Esperance is hoping to make theirs pink again.

In this ABC interview from 1974, science fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke makes the bold claim that one day computers will allow people to work from home and access their banking records.
