What is your favourite northern European country?

If you come from a northern European country it has to be another country You don't have to of visited the country to have it as your favourite.

Netherlands - I've been there and i liked it a lot.

British Isles - Never been there, but i like their music, football and snooker

Never been but I'd probably want to see Scandinavia and Ireland.

Scotland, England and Lithuania, my ancestral lands, plus Wales, Ireland and Iceland. I also like Russia but I don't see it as a Northern European country.

I see Russia as Eastern Euro.

I didn't choose England because i'm there (although i would) and i've only been to Wales, Scotland and Ireland but they are all amazing places. I would have to rate Scotland above Ireland and Ireland above Wales, however - Although not by a large margin.

Scotland is impressive because you get the beautiful rolling lowlands, the history rich and pretty borders and the impressive coasts and highlands. Ireland has a little bit of the impressive, particularly along the Atlantic coast and in a few of the mountains, although in general it's a great island with welcoming people and interesting culture. Wales is very much more compact, and it feels pretty cosy. Also the towns and villages are quite nice, and many of the coastal areas are truly stunning. Of course you have your impressive mountains, and it's steeped in history.
