In Dinaric area culture is important to be stronger so the same appeared in music, strong loud singing, strong dancing (Gluvo kolo) etc. Not nice but strong. So number of strings and sensitive melody were not in focus.

Music theory basics speak of melody, rhytm, and harmony. You can say a lot with a lyrics but without the three ingredients you can't pass your emotions unto the listener, and unless Dinaric people have very few emotions (most Gusle songs sound the same) I think they're doing bad job. All I'm saying is it limits the way you can express your feeling.

You are definitely most Balkan member here (well, maybe not in genetic sense, but that is less important anyway), bigger Balkaner than us who live in Balkan.

Well, technically it's not music in the traditional sense. More like poetry in a rhythmic structure.

3/10, it does nothing for me, the only remotely likable thing is the lyrics.

Dull and repetitive, as expected from The National (I am sorry). I have listened right after to it to another completely random track (through Deezer) of them called Graceless and this one somehow managed to out-dull the previous song! They were though almost indistinguishable, even with drumming being copy-pasted, lol. The only element that stuck with me was the lead singer repeating the word 'Graceless' with a flat tune to it like 50 times.

LOL Aw man, “don’t swallow the cap” is one of my favorites! The lyrics touch me haha.
I’ll give this one a listen though
