    Shit, I just remembered that I left out Finland.

    Definitely honorable mention to them. They were among the biggest badasses of WW2.

    I give respect where it is due. Finland fucked the Russians up, and Mannerheim made Hitler his bitch.

    And Finnish rock music is the best in the Nordick world.

    XX, it is good to love your people, but the true warriors of WWII, at least in the beggining, were the Greeks. If we hadn't hold back the Italians, and then the Germans for so long the result of the war could be very very different...

    I love being Greek cause....
    We always fix everything...even the last momment! We do not lose courage by 4 centuries of slavery...
    We fought 10 years for the eyes of one woman... We love and hate with passion...
    The word "φιλότιμο" and "νάζι" have no exact meaning in any other language of the world...
    When other people couldn't find words, they used ours

    After looking at the video there is something I'd like to ask to anyone with good military history knowledge.

    When was cavalry phased out in European warfare?
    If I'm not mistaken it was still relevant during the times of the Franco-Austrian war (notably Solferino 1859) but prior to World War I it was already outdated.

    Was it used in the Austro-Prussian and Franco-Prussian Wars?
    If yes, then was it phased out during the peace-time of la Belle Époque?

    I would say Britain,

    * High efficiency
    * Limited operations
    * Realistic objectives

    No disrespect XX, but the American fighting force was the tops. After that, it is a toss up between the German and Soviet forces. I will lean toward the Germans, over the entire 6 year period of the war.
