This is a funny question... and my answer is YES!

I still have a vivid memory of that event. When I was a student I used to be a sporadical smoker.
Once in the town where I lived back then (Lille), in the end of the afternoon after a really hard day, I became aware that I needed a smoke but I realized I had neither cigarettes nor money on my pocket, my home was 45 minutes away, tobacconists aren't that many in France and they generally close early in the evening...
And right at that moment I noticed nearby the entrance of a restaurant or hotel a sand ashtray, with an almost entire cigarette... I picked it up, popped out the filter part, and had the best cigarette of my life (I remember it was a regular red Chesterfield).
I had the sensation that some God (if any) or angel pitied me and wanted to ease my frustration.
It tasted so unbelievably good!
Maybe because it was filterless.

To be perfectly honest with you when I was poor shit and still a teenager I want pick up cigarette butts that looked less than mostly smoked burn the outside of the filter with the lighter and smoke the rest of it back then I was really ignorant and I didn't know anything about germs plus all the really ghetto kids were doing it and I wanted to admire them back in my more ignorant teenage years I'm glad I'm not that stupid anymore plus I have a actual job and a career to afford whatever I want + smoking is bad for you it's best to stop as soon as you can
