I view ''whiteness" as simply a term to denote appereance. If you have white skin and Caucasoid you are more or less white. More informative is your ancestry and culture. I prefer geographical lablels, European, West Asian, etc.

I consider Levantines white so to me there is no double standard. But it does annoy me when people say if someone is Muslim they are a "person of color" automatically.

Genetically they are the same as Central Asians, thus the same race.

There are some idiots that assume everyone from that region is around 10-30% black.

A Syrian or Lebanese may be white but they are not European. Simple as that.

I never said they were European. They are obviously not from Europe.

European is a social construct. As I've said before, someone from Sicily, Malta, or Crete is much closer physically and genetically to a Lebanese than to an Estonian.. even though the former is non-European and the latter is.

I agree with you. Islam is just a religion and anyone can practice it regardless of race or ethnicity.

Since the Arab World is so huge, white Arabic-speaking people IMO would be from the North African coasts and the Levant. Sudanese and Nubians are black. Gulf Arabs (and their descendants in Central-Southern Iraq) are mixed with either East Africans or South Asians depending on the tribe.

That's why all Arabs are not the same. They can be of any race (White, Black, or Mixed).
