Most prevalent in East London i’d say. When i was much younger I remember in the market hearing the most Cockney ‘PAAND A BOWL’ chants you could imagine

True, but cockney used a lot of their own slangs that we don't use their. Pronunciation, th words are the same really. Cockney sound more rougher or white ''gangster' talk.

A foreign accent.

Although I think I can impersonate a British-ish accent better than an American one (all these Rs are rather difficult for me to pronounce without stuttering or murmuring).

You are right, it seems. I started to learn English, aged 18 years.
And in early 1990s the teachers were happy when the students were close to correct pronountiation - accent was never requested.
I learned also Russian and German in 1980s - and when me or another classmate tried to imitate Russian or German accent, rest of the classroom was laughing.
