Why do Orthodox people hate Protestants more than Catholics?
I dont get here certain users who are orthodox or are strongly orthodoxophille and dont like Protestantism.
Here some things you should know
-the 4rth crusade which pretty much crippled Byzantium and gave it the final blow was done by catholics, and it was done by southern countries mainly, venice and france. All 4 Genrals where southern euros.
-you always think that countries like america, canada, australia and germany are protestant countries because they speak english like the uk or german. But they are obviously heavily mixed
Especially germans, you guys think because angela merkel is protestant germany is protestant. But its 50 50 for each christianity. The party the CDU which is pegged together with the sister party CSU has most of its votes in catholic countries, and every time the CDU is governing the CSU which is a bavarian party can govern as well.
The CSU is most anti european party who wants greece out of the Euro or wants the more austerity in comparison to other partys. And you guys do like germany is the bad protestant even if its 50% catholic and the ruling party is more a catholic one than protestant.
-you also forgot that catholicsm is one religion while orthodox and protestants churches are many who are split. Yet some even say that catholicsm is closer to orthodoxy but i doubt it because of that fact. protestant churches and orthodox churches can especially represent other ethnicity better making an own church for an ethnicity like german evangelian church or russian orthodox church etc. Its no coincidence that the only churches who are state religions in significant countries not in banana republics are orthodox and protestants.
Its because people simple dont trust the vatican who is an own organisation loyal to itself and not the country or ethnicity.
