Gypsies tend to have the mindset of naive irresponsible children, they live their day to day lives without thinking about any consequences of their actions (or lack thereof) in the future and are generally quite content doing it. They kind of get away with that as state support, stealing and short term odd jobs are just enough to cover their lifestyle. With such a short sighted mindset, I don’t see any hope for a change of their situation anytime soon.
