Got an infected root canal with no chance of the dentist til the eighth, so taking strong antibiotics and other medication which I`m not allowed to have alcohol with.
Plus got a stinky cold. I am feeling a lot of self pity tonight.
On the plus side, I have a cosy bed made up on the couch, old episode of The Saint on tv, and a loving son making me warming cups of coffee.

Sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well Oresai. Sounds like you got yourself a nice young man there! Have a good evening with Roger Moore!

    Cheers!...Aemma

I'll be getting my fill of some regular Pepsi for as of midnight it is bye bye Pepsi! I'll probably be sipping wine too and goodness knows what else. Would rather be drinking my hubby's mead, but his present batch isn't ready. Oh well...

I just googled Larsen cognac....it retails here for £125 a bottle, eek!

I feel my stingy Scot side coming on....
Well, I had a `dry` New Year, but hope everyone had great fun and that there aren`t too many hangovers this morning.
(not that I`m expecting many folks online!)
    but in case there are....
    Oresai`s genuine hangover cure ....

Two raw eggs in a tall glass,
add tomato juice, tabasco sauce, a dash of pepper, and a splash of orange juice.
Knock it back, it`ll line your stomach and the ingredients rehydrate you and give nourishment.

Or...a huge plate of fried eggs, toast, good unsmoked back bacon, fried or grilled tomatoes and mushrooms with some black pudding thrown in for good measure.
If you can keep that down, feel better, because your hangover isn`t so bad after all.
    Happy 2009 everyone!

I've mostly been drinking beer, Boags lager.

I use Cordial for my hangover cure, the fry-up as per Oresai's description is always a winner too, dunno about the black pudding though

The only beer I primarily drink is Yuengling lager. I get migraines and it seems to be one of the few beers that get me drunk before hungover.

I'll be having a Seven and Seven later though.

Yuengling is one of the only American lagers I really like. It's a shame I never see it for sale around here.

Boring water for now and some Canada Dry Ginger Ale. Might have a shot of Goldschläger in a bit! It's nice on a cold wintry night.

Hey, that was what our kings in ancient times were called. Interesting.
