Aušros Vartų street
Emperor Napoleon I with a large retinue marched into Vilnius through Aušros Vartai (the Gate of Dawn) on 28 June 1812. Aušros Vartų street was the site of the battles of the Russian and the retreating French armies in early December 1812. A Lithuanian infantry unit and riflemen’s battalion also took part in these battles.

When Alexander and Napoleon were friends.. heh, good find. A very important moment of European history.
Btw, did you know that the peace of Tilsitt (clearly favouring the French) was signed shortly after La Grande Armée completely annihilated the Prussian Army in Iena?
