It was all fun and games until the very end, my reaction went pretty much like this:

I was never so upset over a T.V. series. It was so sudden, it cuahgt me by surprise. Like... what?

This was the departure from the books that shocked me most. I was thinking Martin would have a role for Robb's future son, but it doesn't seem that way anymore.

There was a popular theory which was spread after a dance with dragons was released, because Catelyn and Jamie's descriptions of Jeyne Westerling's hips differed (I totally picked up on it in the books, not at all a nerd I promise). It essentially revolved around the idea that Jeyne was swapped so she could escape due to a pregnancy.
By the TV show's change, George RR Martin has well and truly destroyed that theory.
