It depends on the guy you know.
Granted, most of my friends did so between ages 17-19, but I know some others that for some reason only started at 21-23.

Curious thing is, today, they both have the same luck with girls and are smooth talkers. Who knows.

There's also cases when virgin women being bullied because they're virgin and want lose virginity just to man of their life. Such people that insult someone because of his/her virginity or not virginity are just losers having no lives of their own. Why would anyone who's successful care if I'm virgin?

I'll try to be as simplistic as I can. Let's make an analogy between sexual intercourse and siege of a fortress where the man is the invading army and the woman is the defending force. If the invading army fails to take the castle it goes home with it's tail between its legs, its reputation will further decrease if it fails to take the 2nd, 3rd and 50th fotress until it finally becomes a laughing stock.
If the defending force manages to keep its ground then jubilations are in order but if the fortress gets overrun by an army or 2 or 10 ... well, that's not something to be proud of
