They're supposed to be closest to Spaniards, North İtalians and South French.

Genetically it seems that the Portuguese are the closest even though they are still quite far on most PCA maps due to being an isolate population. In terms of overall looks I guess they fit the best in Southwest Europe and Italy.

Southwest Europe in a general sense. Closest to iberia genetically but still pretty distant.
