    Some languages from Caucasus are harder, extinct Ubykh had over 70 consonants and vowels (yes 70!).

    Last speaker of that language died in Turkey. Still some Ubykh people living here but they dont know the language.

    It sounds somewhat similar to Chinese. Although they are not related , they are both monosyllabic tone languages , which gives them some similarity in their constant rise and fall of intonation on every (mono) sylllable .

    Not sure why a thread about the Vietnamese language is doing on The Apricity - A European Cultural Forum - last time I checked VIetnam still is located in South east asia.
