Valdevit, Salton, Vanz. The three least Italian sounding.

The first implies some Yugoslav blood, its bearer was from Pordenone, close to the Slovenian border, so it might be an Italianization of Vladović or Vlahović. Salton can also be found on the British Isles but I believe it's a coincidence. Vanz is very uncommon and I can't really trace similar surnames or even its origin.

    i found this for Vanz:

Vanz History, Family Crest & Coats of Arms
    Origins Available: Italy Italy
From the northern Italian region of Emilia-Romagna emerged a variety of surnames. People in this region were originally known only by a single name; it became necessary for people to adopt a second name to identify themselves as populations grew and travel became more frequent. The process of adopting fixed hereditary surnames in Italy began as early as the 10th and 11th centuries. Vanz as a surname was derived from a place-name where the original bearer once resided or held land. As such, it is categorized as a local name, one of the least frequent of the major types of surnames found in Italy. Often Italian local surnames bore the prefix "di," which signified emigration from one place to another, but did not necessarily denote nobility. The Vanz family lived the name Avanzo, which comes from the Italian verb avanzsare, which means to advance. This name would have been ascribed to a child, usually the first born son and family heir, whose birth had been long awaited. The name also reveals that the parents felt the birth of their child would fulfill their lives. In medieval times, it was generally believed that a child's name would in some way bestow good fortune on the family.

I have a strange surname myself, it is very uncommon and most working-class Swedes cannot pronounce it correctly. There is a place in Stockholm with the name.

From my Polish side, the deepest maternal maiden name I found once on paper trail was “Pawacki”- seems to be a rare name, but exists rarely based off some searching online. Anyone have any idea? I’ve tried reaching out to some relatives on 23andme in Europe who knew of the name, but had no idea about them. The Russians burned a lot of documentation, sadly.

Found some people named Sedivy. Had a hard time finding out anything about origin, but seems to be Czech.

Do you have any known Czech ancestry? Or perhaps German from near or in Czechia?
