Metal headings of Ottoman arrows from 1437 - Murad II era (probably obtained back then by Hungarians, Poles or small contingents of German or Bohemians fighting Turks in Balkans):

The Ottomans were truly glorious when you think about it, an almost 600 years empire, they also protected the Middle East from European terrorism and Turko-Persian barbarity( Safavids, Afsharids ect), until they fell in 1924. Though that said they were responsible in some way the stagnation of the Mideast, but North Africa continued to grow in it's development until the French colonization, and the expelling of the Arab and Moors from Spain.

Shia is Arab ideology, don't blame on Afshars you camel jockey. South Iraq is historical Shiite homeland (Kufa, Karbala etc). You Arabs are responsible for the sectarian affair.
Had Yazid (son of Muawiya, whose mom was woman who ate Hamza's heart at Uhud as you know) left the crown to Hussain all this mess would be avoided.
That said I feel respect for Umayyad military prowess in Iberia, against Byzantines and as well against Khazars. Khazars respected them.

No the Safavid's are responsible for the creation of modern Shiaism, well most Safavid when became Shia, they were extreme Alevis, it was Shia Arab missionaries from Lebanon who brought them mainstream Shiaism, plus it was the Safavid who created and made the sectarian mess. The Afshars were second but they were less problematic than the Safavids.
I just disliek the Turko-Persian dynasties as they are problematic

Safavids and the Afshar elites were Kizilbash Turkmens for most. They didn't have the religiosity, they were just Ali-Hussain fanatics but secular in their lifestyle. With time, as they settled in Iran, the south Iraqi Arab-Shia ideology took over. Safavids were more like Alevis in Turkey, when you look at Iran today it's more like Arab-Shia culture with veiled women etc. Shia is Arab originated in the beginning.
Ismailis, Fatimids were also Arabs from Arabia originally.
