    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...GDP_per_capita

    For 2012
Official nominal GDP of Moscow is $459 billions
Nominal GDP of Estonia is around $22 billions (Endowments of Harvard university is $30 billions in 2012 lol)
Nominal GDP of Latvia is around $28 billions
Nominal GDP of Lithuania is around $42 billions

The size of Moscow economy is 5 times larger than the economies of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia combined.

Older generation in the Baltic states would wish to return back to mother Russia selling 'ut the door is closed now.
GDP per capita of Washington DC is 174,500$, Its stupid to compare a city to a country, maybe compare Moscow to Amsterdam not Netherlands, capitals usually have 2x the GDP so you might find a very sad picture. Also I doubt in Moscow you have a salary any close to netherlands, sure its probably higher than in Pleskava oblast but not that high, pensions are probably the same so for a old person its probably better in Pleskava actually. Older generations might wish the old soviet days but definitely not current day Russia.
    Tabula rasa.

    It is still a ripoff.
Tyumen Oblast should have $200 000. And most of it should go to local natives.

You are just showing your ignorance on power law distributions, nothing else.

Older generation remembers well the soviet horrors. They have no desire to be sent to Siberia into slavery.

As for younger generations, you have to ask from Citizen. Perhaps he is willing to go to Russia, perhaps even to Tyumen and get rich quick.

It's better to compare the regions of Russia with the Baltic states and countries alike due large differences in geographical areas and populations to get a better a picture. Russia would better be compared with larger countries such as USA or Brazil.

Besides, I wasn't writing about the salaries but the purchasing power parity. Residents of the Netherlands face higher expenses and taxes, you know.

Admit that you would have been better off selling sprouts and "VEF" stereos to the Russians; not selling your assets for penny worth and retaining your sovereignty.

No, there is a natural tendency for businesses to be registered in capitals, it doesn't mean that all this money goes to Moscow residents, some of those "prosperous" Russian regions have a lot of oil and gas extraction there but they are actually poor as the money does not go to them. I believe that Riga also has 2x the GDP Latvia has so its close to Moscow Can't find a reliable but thats what has been stated in media here by our Russian mayor.

You think VEF wouldn't go bankrupt if we stayed in CIS? Are you serious, how many companies in Russia went bankrupt during the collapse of CCCP or the rest of union? Also, Moscow is suppose to be in every rank as the most expensive city in the world

What I prefer is not important in this case. What khants and mansis prefer is of paramount importance. They prefer to keep their lands pristine for all of their next generations.

As I said - locusts are a menace.

Tell that to the Canadian government.

I am showing the figures published by 3rd parties. Nothing else.

Older generation remembers well the soviet horrors. They have no desire to be sent to Siberia into slavery.

I can find many people who will admit they have been brainwashed by goodness coming from EU. Many are changing their opinions. People whose relatives were sent to Siberia are usually not vocal about it. It's clueless pimpled wankers on the Internet are trying to make something of it.
