A friend, a friend, my kingdom for a real friend.

So, me and my gf have gotten into discussions about "what is a friend".

Are we at this forum friends, even though we've not formaly met in real life (some have though), not seen eachother faces (except those on ********) or are friends just those whom you hang out with in real life?

The people that i spend time with in the Apricity i consider as friends, means i would quite happily drink beer with, and let my guard down to, also they as friends could take my dogs out for walks, this i would not even let my sons do.

My best (male) friend puts it this way; an acquaintence might help you plan a murder, but a real friend helps you hide the body!

My friends act sort of Jewish when it comes to money which is kind of annoying but they help me out and are generally good to be around.
I don't have a massive circle of friends, just a few I'm close to and a few "associates" who I talk to, I suppose I'm quite private.

Facebook always pissed me off, loads of people I barely new or barely spoke to adding me all the time, plus it was basically an invitation to ID theft, hence I deleted it.
