Sadly he is not very popular in India, only in Educated elite class and caste people knows about him.

But this class is in rise and those who know about him have huge respect and admiration for him regardless of their religion or political leanings.

He is very popular in Pakistan. Children are taught Ataturk in primary schools. They also admire Erdogan and governed by sharia. Hard to understand.

Well, despite living with and beside them for centuries even we don't know their Mindset.

I believe that Muslims of greater India see Turkey as role model for a perfect white Islamic Modern Country that can bring back Khalifa. Their inferiority complex forces tham to accept both realities of your country as a good thing.

Regardless of the merits or deficiencies involved, it should be pointed out that Gandhi's Nationalization Movement (for India) was nonviolent, while (Turkey's) Ataturk acquired weapons for a number of wars.

Gandhi Independence Movement was nonviolent, as can be seen here.

Ataturk's war for the Republic of Turkey was purging (with slaughter).

Stop ridiculing Ataturk. If you want to be supported by Turkey it's not wise to ridicule the founder of it. You are behaving like "wise" king Aliya İzzetbegovich.

You don't go to war with roses. Stop being ridiculous.

We were at mercy of British due to him, he hijacked entire independence movement and i have even learned that he indirectly approved killings of many Indian freedom fighters who were using weapons to fight British empire.(can be false accusations)

Only thing Gandhi did is unification of India ironically, he travelled all over India in 3rd class train for months and talked to the people.

You didn't understand what I was saying: I was telling him that Ataturk's wars for a Republic of Turkey wasn't remotely comparable to India's World, because Gandhi led a nonviolent movement for India's sovereignty. The practicality of the matter didn't even enter into the equation of what I was talking about.

I'll repost the videos, below, to make the difference very clear, yet again.
