This thread is for presenting our appreciation to the great leader, father, teacher of the Turkish nation.

The worship of a figure to this extent is to me a sign of a backward society.

Ataturk should simply be an important figure in Turkish history. Like Abraham Lincoln is for the US.
Ataturk however is been worshiped like a demi-God.
