This does make me realize there is no real agreed upon definition of what pansexuality is
I always saw it as a state of mind where the person was attracted to people regardless of their gender, whereas a bisexual was attracted to men and women because of specific attributes of those genders.

There seems to be two definitions for pansexual. One definition means someone who will be into trans/non-binary people. The other definition means someone is gender blind. Since no one has agreed on a definition, I can't really see it as something separate from bisexuality.
