I agree. North Italy has strong Germanic input - in fact I'd say it predominates. Several Germanic tribes have come and settled there, most notably the Lombards and Ostrogoths. It's common history but some Med supremacists want to dismiss it because of their own agendas.

I don't get why people keep on going with Northern Italy? Asking if Poland or Czechia is Germanic is far more accurate. But I don't see threads like that popping up.

Northern Italy has been Germanic ever since the fall of the Roman Empire. The Lombards and Ostrogoths moved in. And later even more Germanic influence came when North Italy was part of the Holy Roman Empire (read: Germany) for a bloody long time.
