    You could repeat this exercise for up to 45 minutes.

    It has a multitude of benefits, and if you are a beginner, you could spend several months concentrating on this exercise alone.

    Make sure that you follow with at least 10 minutes of savasana:

    If you do not do this, you will only gain a fraction of the benefits.

    Great Fortis! I love yoga and need to build it into my lifestyle again. That's one of the best physical activities one can spend your time on doing. The health and psychological benefits are enormous and hard to exaggerate.

    I have started practising hatha yoga daily in earnest, hoping to use my teaching qualification.

    The style of hatha yoga that I have been practising has changed since I started, so I shall have to learn the revised version that is being popularised now if I am to teach it.

    The benefits are innumerable, and the science itself is being continually researched and updated.

    I used to do yoga. It's actually pretty good but some of the movements can be bad if you have something like a back injury. I found simple tai chi movements to be the best stretching. They're both definitely better than the conventional western isometric stretches.

    I did yoga when I was 17-22, I stopped for awhile but am going back to doing it again. There is a beautiful studio down near the harbor on the water. I look forward to early morning classes watching the sunrise over Mt Rainier. lol can you tell I am excited? I've lost a lot of my flexibility and need some core strengthening.
