Amusingly, I'm told that I look strikingly similar to KG. It is a tad uncanny!

I have no Known Scottish ancestry in regards to my parent's knowing, but I do have a grandmother who was an adoptee (whom I have classified as classic North-Atlantid). I do get a tingly feeling hearing the Great Highland pipes and in response to all things Scottish. At risk of sounding weird, I do hold that there is such a thing as genetic memory. I suppose there's also the possibility my German side could have received one or more Scottish mercenary/soldier/peddler. My supposedly "all" German grandfather looked a bit like Sean Connery and was a very hairy man (Most ethnic Germans I've found to be light on body hair and of light to moderate beard-thickness)..anyhoot...enough about myself...

Dick Gaughan, Celtic folk-singer, is one half Scottish, one half Irish. Seems to favor a highlands/islands look to a good degree.

I think his Scottish side is of Clan Donald. Looks similar to other MacDonalds and descendants of the various branches I have seen, or some.

Yeah Grahame looks Scottish.

Gaughan would fit for Glasgow. Could see him fit well in Manchester & Liverpool also. Where the working class Irish settled. Sean Connery is half Irish also I think.

Being a resident of Scotland, Graham, what "style" of Scottish look do you think is somewhat more common in Scotland: The dark curly haired, blue eyed (often combo'd together, not 100% of the time ofcourse) Scoto-Norman look (common in many members of highland clans like the Sinclairs), or fairer haired/ruddy skinned types?
