Macedonians are very closed with the Bulgarians, like Germans and Austrians

Yes. But that doesn't cancel ancient connections with modern Ethnic Macedonians and Ancient Macedonians.

As someone who knows and deals with dna projects I can tell you that Macedonians share many lineages with Greeks such as:

Your explanation is a total miss by the way and it goes to show that you are nothing but a troll. Closeness with modern population such as the Bulgarians doesn't reject an ancestry from the ancient Macedonians.
The Bulgarians themselves have a lot of pre-Slavic Balkan ancestry.

If you would ask me. I would say that both Macedonian Slavs as well as Bulgarians share lots of Thracian and Slavic ancestry. I don't suppose Ancient Macedonians play an essential role here.

Ancient Macedonians do play a crucial role for ethnic Macedonians with ancestry from southern N Macedonia and Greek Macedonia.

The south part of North Macedonia, I assume you mean Pelagonia, was inhabited by Molossian Greeks. Not that it matters for us Greeks. Molossians or Macedonians in Classical Macedonia are Ancient Greeks in classical Macedonia. But I gather you like to insist in the uniqueness of Ancient Macedonians and like to claim exclusively descent from them. So if you do the talk, you have got to do the walk. In that case you have mostly Thracian and Slav ancestry which you share with Bulgarians. And aside from that some Molossian, some Macedonian.
BTW how many are from Greek Macedonia originally? Some 5% or something? I would hardly call that essential.

Ancient Macedonians weren't Greek populace at all, Greek nation never even existed, Hellenes were name for religious group originating from Anatolia and Athens.

Eastern and Western Thrace people for a start were never people like modern Greeks but were always Bulgarian and Romanian like.

Alexander the Great is known for committing genocide against modern Central Greece people, he used Thracian soldiers mostly, he punished his people for adopting Greek language as narrated by Quintus Curtius Rufus.

The fact that he identified as Hellene means nothing, that's like saying today "I am Christian" ... Just like today where Orthodox Greeks are creating a nation out of Religious Group the same way they want to identify invented Greek nation with Hellenic believers which is once again laughable.

But there is no need for Panic, Bronze age and Iron Age samples from Macedonia are coming, we already have one which is absolutely Non Greek.
