Default I left the Catholic church

Uhm yes, you've read right. I wished that taking such a step wasn't necessary but the current development made it inevitable if I want to stay true to my ideals and firm beliefs. In the last few weeks and months I had more and more doubts about some ongoings in the official Catholic church and inside the Vaticane. And then there is the new Pope Franziskus who goes around like on a rampage and disintegrates more and more rocks of Christian belief and certainity. He pampers the Muslims, critizises Europeans for not taking enough immigrants as if he hadn't more than enough, fights the last bastions of faith from within like a part-time cultural marxist and defends homosexual relationships. But that's not the worst! The worst is that he's taking no single measure to defend and safeguard the Christian population worldwide from persecution, rape, murder and violence! Christians are persecuted in lots of countries around the globe, every day Christians in the Middle East, in Africa and in Asia are killed by a couple of dozen, and in 90% of the cases by Muslims!

I truly think that the new Pope is a danger to Catholic/Christian integrity and a danger to the future of Europe. He's a miscast. And if I think official Catholicism the right way then the Pope is infallible. So if he's infallible then I have two remaining options: I agree to what he says and act accordingly which means that I overturn almost everything I think and belief in, or I leave the official Catholic church. And that's what I did.

I found shelter in the community of the 'Old-Catholics', a Christian group of some 10.000's in Germany. The community is part of the 'Old Catholic Church' worldwide, you can read more about them on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Catholic_Church Here's the German site: http://www.alt-katholisch.de/

There are about 120.000 members of the Old Catholic Church worldwide. We think that the Pope isn't infalliable and that some important stuff in the official Vaticane church have gone very wrong.

I'm proud that I've taken that step. It's the right one. My spiritual head is not someone who bows down to cultural decay and kisses Muslim career criminals who want to see us dead. Not anymore!

Well, not to go in details, I am kind to lazy, but I hope you will understand my point anyway, Old Catholics are far more liberal than mainstream Roman Catholic Church in almost every field. What kind of solution it is if we take yours political stance in consideration?

The people I've met in my region think likewise to me. And for now it's the best shelter I could find nearby. Maybe my journey isn't over, who knows? The Pius Brotherhood is no option for some other reasons.

In the UK, we have the Anglo-Catholics who are more Roman Catholic than the Roman Catholics.

It all started with the Oxford Movement. They are part of the protestant Church of England, but they follow their own rules. I tried them out and found nothing, but if there is a German equivalent, perhaps it might work for you.

One small problem though: many of the priests are homosexuals floucing around in ecclesiastical drag and wafting perfume everywhere, but at least they oppose the ordination of women.

Well, speaking about Old Catholics as general, and their views on homosexuality, abortion and ecumenism, I find it verry hard for person like you ot reconcile her personal opinions with prevailing threands in Old Catholic movements.

Well, to be honest, I would expect you there, before Old Catholic Church.
