    Default Welsh People

I can't find a thread on the Welsh so I'm starting one. I hope others will contribute to this thread. Any Welsh people out there please add pictures and discussion about the Welsh. I'll maybe start with some famous Welsh.

Great actor and married to Liz Taylor twice Richard Burton.

Tom Jones (although recognised as Welsh which he is most of his ancestry is English).

The beautiful Catherine Zeta Jones (Catherine is also a quarter Irish).

    Footballer Gareth Bale

    Katherine Jenkins

    Mary Hopkins

    Charlotte Church

Another great Welsh actor Anthony Hopkins

They look like regular British people, perhaps to a small degree more Atlantic influenced but only marginally.
Is Welsh accent kind of particular or is it not so deviant from standard British English?

I've asked some Welsh people if blond hair is at all common there, but most say it's not and yet I've seen many Welsh people with naturally blond hair (I can usually tell the difference between fake and natural blonds).

There isn't as many blonde men as women, in the pictures funnily enough. I wonder why? hmm

Edit: look at my first picture & count how many blonde males. 0

Sorry Uhtred. I was looking for a thread on Welsh and didn't see any. I got the idea from the discussion about Celtic people. There is a thread on Irish and Scottish but no Welsh. I hope with your expect knowledge about the Welsh you will be a great contributer and asset.

I think that women are more likely to be blond than men naturally. You can usually tell dyed hair though.
