As the Finnish language is a conservative language, meaning that it conserves old meanings and words, like early Germanic words (kuningas etc. maybe hundreds) I assume that Ruotsi and Russia can be derived from the same old word. We have two explanations for Ruotsi, the first their home in Roslagen (a area in eastern Sweden), secondly "rowers", in Swedish "roddare". I think that the first explanation is better. So what do you think, can "Russia" be derived from Roslagen?
